Accessing Components Inside the Tray

Removing the Tray Cover

The following replaceable components are located inside a tray:
Memory DIMMs
Disk drives
PCIe cards
Perform the following procedure to access components inside a tray:
1.
Remove the tray from the chassis; refer to "Extracting an Installed System Tray" on page 16.
2. Place the tray on an ESD safe surface.
3. Remove the two screws that secure the cover to the tray; refer to Figure 1-4.
4. Slide the cover towards the front of the tray and lift the cover off of the tray; refer to
Figure 1-4.
Note: If you need to completely remove the cover from the tray to access a component, disconnect
the cables from the disk drives.
