CheckingConnectionoftheNetworkCable
CheckthatthenetworkcableisproperlyconnectedtotheEthernetport.
PingOperationProcedure
Askthenetworkadministratorattheuser'ssitetonotetheIPaddressofthePCthatis
connectedtothenetwork.
Select:[Settings/Registration]>[Preferences]>[Network]>[TCP/IPSettings]>[IPv4
Settings]>[PINGCommand],andentertheIPaddressofPCwiththenumerickeypad,and
thenpress"Execute"key.
Ifthedisplayshows"Responsefromthehost",thenetworkconnectionisproperlyfunctioning.
Ifthedisplayshows"Noresponsefromthehost",gotothenextstepforanotherchecking.

CheckingofIPaddressofPCisavailablebytheprocedurebelow:
OnWindowsPC,gothroughthefollowing:Start>Program>Accessory>Command
Prompt, and enter ipconfig and press the Enter key. IP address information will be
displayed.
CheckingNetworkSettingoftheHostMachine
Check if the IP address specified on the host machine is correct. Select the following: [Settings/
Registration]>[Preferences]>[Network]>[TCP/IPSettings]>[IPv4Settings]>[IPAddress
Settings], and note the IP address in the IP Address field. Select the following: [Settings/
Registration]>[Preferences]>[Network]>[TCP/IPSettings]>[IPv4Settings]>[PING
Command],andentertheIPaddress.Ifthedisplayshows"Responsefromthehost",theIP
address specified on the host machine is correct. If the display shows "No response from the
host",gotothenextstepforanotherchecking.

Whenenteringanaddressbymanualoperation,settheSubnetMaskaccordingtothe
instructionsoftheuseradministrator.

Checkwiththeloopbackaddress:
Select:[Settings/Registration]>[Preferences]>[Network]>[TCP/IPSettings]>[IPv4
Settings]>[PINGCommand],andentertheIPaddress"127.0.0.1"withthenumerickeypad
andpresstheExecutekey.
Ifthedisplayshows"Responsefromthehost",thenetworkofthemaincontrollerisproperly
functioning.
Ifthedisplayshows"Noresponsefromthehost",thenetworkfunctionofthemaincontroller
isfaulty.
Replacewithamaincontrollerthatworksproperly,andthecheckconnection.
