isproperlyexecuted.
IftheusernetworkenvironmentisIPX/SPXorAppleTalk,skipthisprocedure.

CAUTION:
Usethenetworkcableofrank5eorhigher.Inaddition,useofshieldtype(STPcable)
isrecommended.
Whennon-shieldtype(UTPcable)isused,thesurroundingelectronicequipmentsmay
beinterferedviathenetworkcable.
1)TurnOFFthemainpowerswitch.
2)ConnectthenetworkcabletothehostmachineandturnONthemainpowerswitch.
3)Informthesystemadministratorattheinstallationsitethattheinstallationofthehost
machineiscomplete,andaskfornetworkconnectionofthehostmachine.

ToexecutePingcommandtoWindowsVistaPC,disabletheFireWall.Or,executePing
commandtotheHostMachinefromWindowsVistaPC.
1)Select[Settings/Registration]>[Preferences]>[Network]>[TCP/IPSettings]>[IPv4
Settings]>[PINGCommand].
2)EnterIPaddresswithnumerickeypadonthecontrolpanelandpress"Start"key.
"Responsefromthehost"isdisplayedifPingoperationissuccessful."Noresponsefrom
thehost"isdisplayedifPingoperationfails.
CheckingwithRemoteHostAddress
You can check whether the network is connected or not by using remote host address to
executePing.
Remotehostaddress:IPaddressofPCterminalthatisconnectedto/workswithTCP/IP
networkenvironment,whichconnectstothishostmachine.
1)InformthesystemadministratortoexecutecheckingofnetworkconnectionusingPing.
2)Checktheremotehostaddresswiththesystemadministrator.
3)EntertheremotehostaddresstoPING.
