ENGINE - COOLiNG SYSTEM
COOLANT CHECK

1. CHECK ENGINE COOLANT LEVEL AT RADIATOR
RESERVOiR
The engine coolant level should be between the ..
LOW· and "'FULL'" lines.
If low. check for leaks and add engine coolant up to
the "FULL"' line.
2. CHECK ENGINE COOLANT QUALITY
(a) Remove the radiator cap.
CAUTION: To avoid the dangar of being burned. do not
remove the r.diator cap while the engine and radiator .r.
still hot. a. fluid and st.am can b. blown out under
pr•••ur•.
(b) There should not be any excessive deposits of rust or
scale around the radiator cap or water filler hole. and
the coolant should be free from oil.
If excessively dirty, replace the coolant.
(c) Reinstall the radiator cap.
COOLANT REPLACEMENT
Remove the radiator cap.
CAUTION: To avoid the dangar of baing burned. do not
remove the radiator cap while tha engina and radiator are
,till hot. a, fluid and ,taam can be blown out under
pr...ur•.

Seal Packing
Drain Plug
(b) Loosen the radiator drain plug (on the left side of the
radiator lower tank) and engine drain plug (on the oil
cooler cover), and drain the coolant.
(c) Apply seal packing to 2 or 3 threads of the engine
drain plug.
Saal packing:
Part No. 08826-00100 or equivalent
(d) Close the drain plugs.
Torque (Engina): 29.4 N·m (300 kgf·em. 22 ft.lbf)
