If tendency is not as specified. select and replace the
Innef spring.
Time' spring fr.e length:
34.4 mm (1.35 in.)
34.0 mm (1.34 in.)
33.6 mm (1.32 in.)
HINT: The timer stroke wllJ increase with a long spring
and decrease with a short spring.
HINT: Turn clockwise to reduce the stroke. turn coun-
terclockwise to increase the stroke.
Check the timer stroke for characteristic tendency.
CHECK BOOST COMPENSATOR FOR AIR
TIGHTNESS
Apply 98 kPa (1.00 kgfjcm', 14.2 psi) of pressure to
the boost compensator.
Measure the time it takes for pressure to drop to 95
kPa (0.97 kgf/cm'. 13.8 psi).
Pressure drop:
10 seconds or more
