Select [View Configuration Detail] and press the [Enter] key.
The View Configuration Detail submenu window appears.

Check that [Configuration Possible] and [Hot Replace] are set to [Yes].
If [No] is displayed, the memory modules were not installed correctly. Install them correctly
according to the installation conditions.

Press the [F10] key.
A confirmation message appears, asking whether you want to save the changed BIOS settings.

Select [Yes] and press the [Enter] key.
Memory mirroring is enabled after the system is restarted.
Memory RAID Function
Configure memory RAID by installing memory modules with the same capacity to the four memory
boards. Three memory boards are used for data, and one for parity. The available memory capacity
(logical capacity) is three-quarters of the physical memory.
Installation Conditions
Install the memory according to the following conditions.
Memory Board A
Bank 1 Bank 2
1A 1B 2A

-: Memory not installed
• Configure one RAID set using all of the memory boards.
• The capacity of the memory module on the each memory boards must be the same.
• The capacity of the memory modules of Bank 1 and Bank 2 on the memory board can be different. In
this case, install the module with smaller capacity in Memory Bank 1.

BIOS Settings

Perform the following settings after installing memory modules.

If the [Hot Replace] field is set to [No], you cannot replace memory modules while the
server is running.
