Installation conditions

Install memory modules with the same capacity in the same slot number of the memory board A, B, C,
and D.

BIOS settings

Follow the procedure below after installing memory modules.

Install memory modules according to the installation conditions.

Start up BIOS Setup Utility.

Select the [Advanced] menu – the [Advanced Memory Configuration] submenu,
and press the [Enter] key.

Set [Memory Redundancy] to "Mirroring".

Press the [F10] key, save the settings, and then exit BIOS Setup Utility.
After the system restarts, the memory mirroring function will be enabled.

Memory sparing function

The memory sparing function does not use one installed memory bank and reserve it as standby.
Available memory capacity (logical capacity) is one memory bank fewer than those of the physical
memory capacity. If a correctable memory error occurs, the reserved memory modules will be switched
and reduce risk of uncorrectable memory error occurrences.
Installation conditions
Install at least three memory modules in each memory board to configure at least three memory banks.
The memory modules to be installed must have the same capacity.
BIOS settings
Follow the procedure below after installing memory modules.

Start up BIOS Setup Utility.
