3.2 Removing and installing switch module
for mirror adjustment on driver side
Mirror adjustment switch module - driver side (depending on
equipment)
♦ Mirror adjustment switch -E43-
♦ Mirror adjustment changeover switch -E48-
♦ Exterior mirror heater button -E231-
♦ Fold-in mirror switch -E263-
♦ Mirror adjustment switch illumination bulb -L78-
The above mentioned components cannot be renewed individu‐
ally.
– In case of a defect, renew switch module for mirror adjustment
- driver side.
Caution
♦ Switch off ignition and all electrical consumers.
♦ Remove the ignition key.
♦ When removing and installing components that are in view
(switches, covers, trim), mask off areas where tools ( re‐
moval wedge -VAS 3409- , screwdriver) are used to lever
out those components using commercially available
masking tape.
Removing
– Remove switch module for window regulator - driver side
⇒ page 395 .
– Unclip installation frame of switch out of trim.
– Release locking lugs -arrows- and remove the switch module
from the installation frame.
Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse order of removal.
3.3 Removing and installing driver side in‐
terior locking button for central locking
system -E308-
Note
The driver side interior locking button for central locking system -
E308- has an integrated button illumination bulb -L76- , which
cannot be replaced separately.
