♦ Torque wrench -V.A.G 1783/-
Carry out following procedures:
Removing
– Remove alternator -C-
– Remove clamping rings -arrows- and detach protective cap
from alternator -C- .
– Remove bolts for voltage regulator -C1- -arrows-.
– Remove voltage regulator -C1- from alternator -C- .
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal. When doing this, note the
following:
– Release locking lugs -arrows- and pull protective cap off volt‐
age regulator -C1- .
– Press carbon brushes into housing of voltage regulator -C1-
and insert voltage regulator -C1- in alternator -C- .
– Tighten threaded connections to specified torques
