Packet Filtering Policy Configuration Example

One

The most basic function of FW is to control communication between
intranet and extranet. MAC address can be used to directly identify
one network device. FW card supports to filter packets based on
MAC address. Only packets whose MAC address meets packet fil-
tering rule can pass through FW and access destination area. With
MAC address filtering technology, only authorized MAC address
can access network resources. In the
host in Area_Vlan2 and whose MAC address is 00:50:04:C3:B0:31
to access document server (port 8000 in 192.168.83.234/24) in
Area_Vlan1.
