Multiple power cords. The product might be equipped with multiple power cords. To remove all
hazardous voltages, disconnect all power cords.
This service action assumes that:
v The node is turned off. If you must turn off the node, ensure that its data is mirrored and
synchronized, and that there are no dependent volumes, as described in MAP 5350 in the IBM System
Storage SAN Volume Controller 2145 Troubleshooting Guide.
v The power cables are disconnected.
v The top cover is removed.
Perform the following steps to replace the operator-information panel cable:
1. Read the safety information to which "Preparing to remove and replace parts" on page 20 refers.
2. Thread the new cable from the operator-information panel to the connector above the Video/USB
cable connector on the right side of the node, as shown in Figure 229.
The following illustration shows the cable routing for the operator-information panel cable.

3. Connect the cable to the connector above the Video/USB cable connector on the right side of the
node, as shown in Figure 229.
4. Connect the cable to the rear of the operator-information panel.
5. Replace the top cover. See "Replacing the top cover" on page 72.
6. If you removed the node from the rack, replace the node in the rack, as described in "Replacing the
SAN Volume Controller in a rack" on page 48.
