Amplifier
ATTACK
Determines the amount of time it takes for the amplifier envelope to rise to its maximum level. The
higher the ATTACK value, the longer it takes for the envelope to rise to maximum volume after the
start of a note.
DECAY
Determines the amount of time it takes for the amplifier envelope to fade out. The higher the DECAY
value, the longer it takes for the envelope to fall from its peak level to the SUSTAIN value.
SUSTAIN
Sets a variable level value for the amplifier envelope at which it remains after the end of the DECAY
phase (see appropriate section). The duration of the SUSTAIN phase depends on the TIME value
(see appropriate section).
TIME
Sets the bipolar time parameter for the amplifier envelope. It determines the envelope's response
once it reaches the SUSTAIN level (see appropriate section): If the knob is set to the center position
(12 o'clock) indicated by the mathematical infinity symbol, then the SUSTAIN level remains constant
through to the end of the note; if you turn it counter-clockwise to the left (towards FALL), then the
level drops off at an increasing rate towards the minimum level; If you turn the knob clockwise to the
right (towards RISE), the level rises at an increasing rate to maximum.
RELEASE
Determines the speed or rate at which the volume of the amplifier envelope decreases after the end
of a note. The higher the RELEASE value, the longer it takes for the envelope to fall from its current
level to the minimum level, when the key is released.
