1 + 7-Digit Dialing Requirements
1 + 7-Digit Dialing Requirements
Use this procedure for calls placed within the same (home) area code as the
system. The procedure allows you to specify whether or not the local
telephone company requires a 1 to precede the 7-digit number. The two
available settings are:
Within Area Code. Requires that a 1 plus a 7-digit number must be
dialed; the system checks the 1 + 7-digit tables for routing.
Not Within Area Code. Does not require that a 1 precede the 7-digit
number (the system does this automatically).
