Removing a Power Supply with the System Power Off

Before performing the following procedure, read and understand all of the safety notices beginning with
"Safety Notices" on page ix.
To remove a power supply with the system power off, do the following:
1. Stop the system as described in "Stopping the System" on page 246.
2. Disconnect the power cable from the rear of the power supply you want to remove.
3. Place the system into the service position as described in "Placing the Model 275 into the Service and
Operating Position" on page 248.
4. Remove the service access cover as described in "Removing the Service Access Cover" on page 249.
5. Wait at least 10 seconds before performing the next step.
6. Grasp the ends of the power supply handles, and press the retractable spring-activated portion of each
handle. This action releases the spring latch located on the bottom side of each handle. See the
following illustration.
