Adding a Cisco TelePresence Device
If the Cisco TelePresence software device is not listed on the Cisco Unified Communications Manager
phone list, you must add the device. The Cisco TelePresence device is included in the latest device packs
for Cisco Unified CM.

Procedure
To install the device, follow these steps:
Log in to the Cisco Unified CM Administration interface.
Step 1
At the Cisco IPT Platform Administration window, choose Software Installation/Upgrade.

From the Source drop-down list, choose the source for the device pack.
Step 3
Click Next. The Options/Upgrades window appears.
Step 4
Step 5 Choose the appropriate file from the drop-down list and click Next. The system compiles a checksum
value.
Step 6 Click Save to accept the checksum value and start installation.
The installation process can take several minutes. An onscreen log reports status of the installation. Once
the device pack is installed, you can begin

Download device packs from the following path on Cisco.com:
Support > Voice and Unified Communications > IP Telephony > Call Control > Cisco Unified
Communications Manager > Download Software
Enter your Cisco password.
Click Cisco Unified Communications Manager. The Voice and Unified Communications Select a
Product page appears.
Select your software version. The Tools and Resources Download Software page appears.
Select Unified Communications Manager/CallManager Device Packages.
Choose the latest release. The software download page for that release opens and you can begin
downloading the device pack.
MIDlets software version is embedded in the Cisco Unified CM device pack.
