6.0 GUARDIO/VESTA CHARGER FIRMWARE UPDATE
The Intelio Programmer includes an application that allows a user to update the firmware installed on a
Guardio/Vesta Charger.
To update the Guardio/Vesta Charger firmware:
1. On the left-hand side of the Intelio Programmer tablet PC, push the flap covering the USB ports
towards the back of the tablet PC to unlock it and then fold the flap outwards.
2. Insert the USB flash drive containing the Guardio/Vesta Charger firmware into one of the two
USB ports on the Intelio Programmer tablet PC.
3. Obtain the Guardio/Vesta Charger to be updated and then it around so that the back of the
charger is facing upwards.
4. Remove the protective cover flap from the input connector of the charger located next to the base
of the charging wand cable. See Figure 66.
5. Obtain the Bootstrap Loader Cable from the Intelio Programmer Carrying Case and rotate its
metal connector until the red dot on its connector is visible.
6. Line up the red dot on the connector of the Bootstrap Loader Cable with the red line on the input
connector of the Guardio/Vesta Charger and then insert the Bootstrap Loader cable connector
into the charger's input connector. See Figure 67.

7. Plug the LEMO connector of the Bootstrap Loader cable into the gray-ringed port on the right side
of the Intelio Programming Interface.
8. Tap the Charger Firmware Update button found on the Selector screen of the Intelio
Programmer.
