To program the CCM Mode into the OPTIMIZER Smart IPG:
1. Place (or replace, if necessary) the Legacy Programming Wand over the
OPTIMIZER Smart IPG implant site.
2. Tap the CCM Mode parameter on the Device Bar.
3. Tap the CCM Mode from the CCM Mode pop-up menu.
4. Perform one of the following actions to issue the Program command:
a. Press the Program button on the Legacy Programming Wand or
b. Tap the Program button on the Tool Bar, or
c. Tap the Program button on the Programming Bar.
If the programming is successful, the Optimizer Smart Programmer application will
display the message "Programming OK".
However, if the Legacy Programming Wand is not well positioned over the implant site,
the programming operation may fail. If a failure in communication occurs, the
Programmer will display the message "Programming Error" along with the options Retry
and Cancel.
Retry can be performed by repositioning the Legacy Programming Wand and selecting
the Retry button or by pressing the Program button located on the Legacy Programming
Wand.
7.12 Marker Events
The Optimizer Smart Programmer application can be used to set the OPTIMIZER Smart IPG into
Marker Mode. Markers are flags that represent the various states of the device and events
detected during its operation. In this mode, all events detected and generated by the OPTIMIZER
Smart IPG are displayed in the Marker window synchronized with the patient's ECG signal. The
markers are useful for analyzing the behavior of the IPG with different programmed parameters.
7.12.1 Turning Markers On
To set the OPTIMIZER Smart IPG in Marker Mode:
1. Place (or replace, if necessary) the Legacy Programming Wand over the
OPTIMIZER Smart IPG implant site.
2. Tap the Marker button on the Tool Bar.
If the programming is successful, the Programmer reports "Start marker mode". In the
Marker Window of the Optimizer Smart Programmer application, a bar will appear and
Marker Events will be displayed as they occur.
However, if the Legacy Programming Wand is not well positioned over the implant site,
setting the OPTIMIZER Smart IPG in Marker mode will fail, and the Programmer will
display the message "Marker mode error" along with the options Retry and Cancel
Retry can be performed by repositioning the Legacy Programming Wand and selecting
the Retry button.
