The Intelio Programmer System allows the clinician to interrogate and program the OPTIMIZER
Smart Mini and OPTIMIZER Smart IPGs. The programmer software runs on a touch screen tablet
PC with an attached Intelio Programming Interface.
Note: The contents of this document pertaining to the OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG are also
applicable to the OPTIMIZER Lite IPG.
Communication between the Programming Interface and the OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG is
accomplished using the Intelio Programming Wand. The Intelio Programming Wand first uses
short-range communications to establish a link with the OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG and then
long-range Radio Frequency (RF) communications for all subsequent exchanges of information.
Communication between the Programming Interface and the OPTIMIZER Smart IPG is
accomplished using the Legacy Programming Wand.
Understanding the instructions in this manual on how to operate the Intelio Programmer System
is essential to the proper operation of the OPTIMIZER Smart Mini and OPTIMIZER Smart IPGs.
The Intelio Programming Interface is classified as Class II equipment. The Programming Wand
Port is classified as a Type BF applied part and the ECG Port is classified as a defibrillation-proof
Type CF applied part.
The Intelio and Legacy Programming Wands are classified as Class II equipment and a Type BF

Warning: The Intelio Programmer System may be subject to interference from other electrical
devices operated in the vicinity. Portable and mobile RF equipment are especially
likely to impair the normal function of the programmer. If the Intelio Programmer is not
operating as expected, such interference must always be taken into account. Other
equipment can also interfere with the Intelio Programmer.
