3.11 CCM Timing
The CCM Timing panel contains the parameters for setting the following parameter categories:
3.11.1 A/V Refractories
A/V Refractories consist of the following set of parameters:
Post-V Atrial Refractory Period: Sets the time interval after a ventricular (RV)
event when signals sensed on the atrial lead are not acknowledged as atrial
events.
Note: This parameter is active only when the OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG is in
ODO-LS-CCM mode.
Post-V Ventricular (RV) Refractory Period: Sets the time interval after a
ventricular (RV) event when signals sensed on the RV channel are not
acknowledged as ventricular (RV) events.
3.11.2 CCM Inhibit
CCM Inhibit consists of the following set of parameters that control CCM inhibition:
CCM Inhibit Cycles: Sets the number of cycles for which CCM therapy delivery
will continue to be inhibited after the initial inhibiting event.
Note: The number of inhibited cycles applies to the most recent detected event
that caused CCM therapy inhibition. If a new inhibiting event is detected during
CCM therapy inhibition, this will trigger a new inhibition period.
AV Limits: The following parameters are active only when the OPTIMIZER
Smart Mini IPG is in ODO-LS-CCM mode.
Short: Sets the minimum permissible interval between an atrial and a
o
ventricular event.
Long: Sets the maximum permissible interval between an atrial and a
o
ventricular event.
Tracking: This parameter is dependent on the CCM Mode of the device.
ODO-LS-CCM mode: When operating in this mode, sets the maximum limit
o
for the number of detected atrial events per minute.
OVO-LS-CCM mode: When operating in this mode, sets the maximum limit
o
for the number of detected ventricular (RV) events per minute.
Note: When the OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG is in OVO-LS-CCM mode, the
maximum allowable setting for this parameter is 110 bpm.
3.11.3 Timing Algorithm
Timing Algorithm consists of the following set of parameters that control events that
control CCM timing:
LS: Assigns the V1 or V2 lead as the LS channel.
LS Alert:
Note: If the sum of Alert Start and Alert Width is negative, the Alert Window ends
inside the AV interval.
Note: If a Local Sense event is detected outside the Alert Window, CCM therapy
delivery is always inhibited.
Start: Sets the start of the time interval during which a valid LS event must
o
be sensed in order to trigger the delivery of CCM therapy.
Note: The Alert Window starts inside the AV interval if the parameter value is
negative.
Width: Sets the time interval duration in which a valid LS event must be
o
sensed in order to trigger the delivery of CCM therapy.
