screen, tap the blinking Program button on the Programming Buttons Pane to load the
OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG with the new parameter settings.
3.10 Sensing
The Sensing panel contains the following parameters:
•
Sensitivity: This parameter is used to determine the sensitivity threshold and set the final
sensitivity setting for the lead. After the sensitivity threshold for a lead has been
determined, the final sensitivity setting is typically set to the closest parameter value
representing 50% of the lead's sensitivity threshold value.
•
Polarity: This parameter offers the following options:
Bipolar: The signal is sensed between the lead "tip" (distal electrode) and "ring"
o
(proximal electrode) of a bipolar lead.
Unipolar: The signal is sensed between the lead tip (distal electrode) and the can of
o
the OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG.
To modify the Sensing parameters:
1. If necessary, initiate a link with OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG.
a. Place (or replace, if necessary) the Intelio Programming Wand over the OPTIMIZER
Smart Mini IPG implant site
b. Tap the Start OPTIlink button on the OPTIlink Session Pane
2. Tap the Parameters button on the Menu Bar
3. Select the Sensing tab.
4. On the Sensing panel, tap the Sensitivity parameter for each lead and modify as
needed to determine the sensitivity threshold and the final sensitivity setting for the lead.
5. Tap the Polarity parameter for each lead and modify as needed.
6. Tap the blinking Program button on the Programming Buttons Pane to load the
OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG with the new parameter setting.
