1.7 Charging the Battery of the Intelio Programmer Tablet PC
Warning: Only charge the Intelio Programmer tablet PC battery with the medical-grade power
supply provided with the Intelio Programmer System. Do not attempt to recharge the
tablet PC's battery with any other power supply.
To charge the battery of the Intelio Programmer Tablet PC, perform the following steps:
1. Flip open the protective cover of the power input connector on the Tablet PC (located at
the bottom left of the Tablet PC).
2. Plug the DC output connector of the medical-grade power supply into the power input
connector on the Tablet PC.
3. Plug one end of the power cord into the AC input connector of the medical-grade power
supply and then plug the other end into a hospital-grade mains power receptacle. Be sure
that the mains voltage is in the range 100 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz and that the receptacle
has a properly grounded connection.
1.8 Indicator Lights and Buttons on the Intelio Programmer Tablet PC
The Intelio Programmer tablet PC has three illuminated indicator lights and six buttons located on
the right side of the tablet PC.
1.8.1 Indicator Lights
The Indicator Lights have the following functions (from top to bottom):

Power – illuminated when the tablet PC is powered ON

Battery Charging Status:
Not illuminated – tablet PC is operating on battery power

Illuminated – has two color states:

WLAN / Wi-Fi – illuminated when the Wi-Fi is enabled
1.8.2 Buttons
The Buttons have the following functions (from top to bottom):

P1: disables Wi-Fi
•
P2: non-functional
•
Windows: non-functional
•
Volume +: non-functional
•
Volume -: non-functional
•
Power (green): used to power up and shut off tablet PC
1.9 User Profile and Training
The operators of the Intelio Programmer system include physicians (and the trained medical
personnel who assist them) and Impulse Dynamics representatives. Physicians, medical
personnel, and Company representatives who operate the Intelio Programmer system should be
qualified and familiar with the operation of electronic medical equipment, particularly the operation
of implanted medical devices and programmers.
Physicians and medical personnel can participate in a Company-sponsored training program that
will provide theoretical and hands-on training regarding the technology, device features, and
detailed operating instructions for the Intelio Programmer. The need for future retraining regarding
the Intelio Programmer system is determined by Company personnel based on the user's
individual implant history and frequency.
