3.25 Standards
Baseline parameter combinations are useful in certain clinical situations. With the Optimizer
Smart Mini Programmer application, the user is able to create and save these baseline parameter
combinations as a standard (also known as user presets) file on the Intelio Programmer. Then
when needed, this saved standard file can be loaded onto the Optimizer Smart Mini Programmer
application and then programmed into an OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG.
3.25.1 Saving a Standard File
To save a parameter value set as a standard (.mips) file:
1. Tap the Tools button on the Menu Bar
2. Select the Standards tab
3. On the Standards panel, tap the Save Program button
4. When the Save Standard window appears, enter a file name for the standard to
be saved and then tap Save
3.25.2 Loading a Standard File
To load a standard (.mips) file:
1. Tap the Tools button on the Menu Bar
2. Select the Standards tab
3. On the Standards panel, tap the Load Program button
4. When the Load Standard window appears, select the file to be loaded, and then
tap Open
5. Tap the blinking Program button on the Programming Buttons Pane to load the
OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG with a new set of parameters from the standard file
When parameter values are loaded from a standard file but not yet programmed into the
OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG, they become the current parameter values displayed by the
Programmer. If any of the standard's parameter values are different from the current
programmed parameter values, they are displayed in blue.
3.26 Programmer Log
The Optimizer Smart Mini Programmer application keeps a log of all the interactions that
occur between the programmer application and an OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG. This
record can be used as an index to provide quick access to specific data retrieved from
the OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG during its interactions with the programmer application.
The following is a description of the basic features of the log:
•
The log file for a particular OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG is created when the
device is interrogated for the first time.
•
Each communications event that occurs between the Optimizer Smart Mini
Programmer application and the OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG appears in the
Programmer Log, together with the date and time of each interaction.
•
More information regarding a communication event may be obtained by double-
tapping on the communication event in the Programmer Log. If there is data
associated with the selected communication event, the following occurs:
If an Interrogation or Programming event is chosen, the parameter values
o
displayed by the Optimizer Smart Mini Programmer application represent the
parameter values programmed into the OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG when
the selected communication event occurred.
If an event such as Get Battery Capacity is chosen, the data shown is the
o
value associated with the event when the selected communication event
occurred.
