3.21.8 Minimum CCM% Alert
The OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG maintains a record of sensed events and CCM trains
delivered during each scheduled CCM delivery period. This record is used to determine
the percentage of CCM therapy pulses delivered during this period.
The Minimum CCM% alert is triggered if the CCM therapy percentage averaged in the
last three days is below the Minimum CCM% Percentage setting.
To set the Minimum CCM% alert and set its % value:
1. If necessary, initiate a link with OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG
a. Place (or replace, if necessary) the Intelio Programming Wand over the
OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG implant site
b. Tap the Start OPTIlink button on the OPTIlink Session Pane
2. Tap the Preferences button on the Menu Bar
3. Select the Patient Alerts tab
4. On the Patient Alerts panel, tap the Minimum CCM% toggle switch to enable
(ON) or disable (OFF) the alert
5. If enabled, the default (or previously programmed) value for the Minimum CCM%
percentage parameter will now appear next to the Minimum CCM%
6. If required, change the Minimum CCM% Percentage parameter
a. Tap the numerical parameter value
b. Select a value from the Minimum CCM% (%) parameter window
7. Tap the blinking Program button on the Programming Buttons Pane to load the
OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG with the new parameter setting
3.21.9 Maximum Lead Impedance Change Alert
The OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG is configured to automatically conduct an impedance
measurement of the ventricular leads every day at midnight whenever it is set to ODO-
LS-CCM or OVO-LS-CCM mode. These daily impedance measurements of the
ventricular leads are collected and used by the OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG to monitor
the ventricular leads for changes in impedance.
Note: When the OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG is set to ODO-LS-CCM or OVO-LS-CCM
mode, the daily impedance measurement of the ventricular leads is conducted even if the
CCM Therapy Mode is set to OFF.
The Maximum Lead Impedance Change alert is triggered if either one of the following
conditions occurs:
The last impedance measurement was lower than 50Ω or greater than 2000Ω
If there are more than three lead impedance measurements in the buffer, the
difference in percentage between the average of the last three daily impedance
measurements and the average of the last 30 daily impedance measurements is
greater than the Lead Displacement Percentage setting.
Note: When the OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG is first programmed to ODO-LS-
CCM or OVO-LS-CCM mode, the lead impedance buffer will initially be empty.
When the number of lead impedance measurements in the buffer is three or less,
no lead impedance measurement comparison is made and thus the triggering of
this alert for this cause would not occur.
To set the Maximum Lead Impedance Change alert and set its % value:
