1.2 Programmer Functions
The functions performed by the Intelio Programmer include the following:
•
Read (interrogate) OPTIMIZER Smart Mini and OPTIMIZER Smart IPG parameters as
currently programmed
•
Modify and program OPTIMIZER Smart Mini and OPTIMIZER Smart IPG parameters
•
Display the patient's ECG and IEGM and display markers for analysis
•
Retrieve statistics accumulated by the OPTIMIZER Smart Mini and OPTIMIZER Smart
IPG as it operates
•
View the activity trends of the patient (OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG only)
•
Store standard programs for future use
•
Monitor activity level of patient (OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG only)
•
Enable Patient Alerts to be displayed by Guardio/Vesta Charger (OPTIMIZER Smart Mini
IPG only)
1.3 Programmer Components
The Intelio Programmer System consists of:
•
Intelio Programmer
Intelio Programmer Tablet PC installed with the Optimizer Smart Mini and Optimizer

Smart Software Applications
Intelio Programming Interface

•
Intelio Programming Wand
•
Legacy Programming Wand
•
Single-lead (3-wire) ECG cable
•
Charger Bootstrap Cable (used for updating the firmware of the Guardio/Vesta Charger)
•
Medical-grade Power Supply
•
Power Cord
Warning: Use of items other than those identified above or in a manner not in accord with these
instructions may cause damage to the Intelio Programmer.
1.4 Interconnecting the Programmer Components for Operation
Warning: Do not attempt to directly connect any line-powered device (e.g., using a USB cable to
connect to a printer) to the Intelio Programmer. This may create an electrical safety
hazard for the patient.
1.4.1 OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG
To begin using the Intelio Programmer System with the OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG,
connect the following components:
•
Plug the LEMO connector of the Intelio Programming Wand into the gray-ringed
port on the right side of the Intelio Programming Interface.
•
Plug the LEMO connector of the ECG cable into the blue-ringed port on the left
side of the Intelio Programming Interface.
