Description
Aborted Errors
This field displays the number of TX Aborted Errors. Transmission can be aborted due to
various reasons. ECOL or Excessive Collisions Count. Only valid in half-duplex mode.
Carrier Errors
This field displays the number of TX Carrier Errors were reported. The PHY should assert
the internal carrier sense signal during every transmission. Failure to do so may indicate
that the link has failed or that the PHY has an incorrect link configuration. This register
only increments if transmits are enabled. This register is not valid in internal SerDes1
mode (TBI mode for the 82544GC/EI) and is only valid when the Ethernet controller is
operating at full duplex.
Heart Beat Error
This field displays the number of transceiver heartbeat errors occurred.
FIFO Error
This field displays the number of TX FIFO (Transmitter FIFO) Errors reported.
Window Error
This field displays the number of Out-of-Window collisions occurred. LATECOL or Late
Collisions Count.
