Control Panel : System : Information Icon : Date/Time Settings Page

The Date and Time Settings page displays the Time Zone, Server Date, Server Time,
NTP Configuration, and NTP server information. This page also has a Synchronize With
Local System button.
Field/Item
Description
Time Zone dropdown
Use this dropdown menu to select your time zone.

Server Date
Enter the date or use the calendar control to select the date.
Server Time Fields
Enter the appropriate time values for these fields.
Enable NTP box
Select this option if you want to use NTP to automatically configure the date and time on
your Storage Appliance.
NTP Server
Type your network's NTP server's FQDN or IP address into this field.
Synchronize with
Use this button to set the Storage Appliance's time to be the same as that of the system
Local System button
being used to access the Storage Appliance.
Apply button
To save changes, left click the Apply button.
Note:
You have the option to implement the Network Time Protocol (NTP) by entering the IP
address (or FQDN) of an NTP server. NTP is a protocol used to synchronize system
clock times in a network. It is an Internet standard that uses Coordinated Universal Time
to synchronize system clock times to a millisecond or even to a fraction of a millisecond.
The time on your Storage Appliance updates as soon as you click the Apply button. In
order for the synchronized time to be displayed, the window must be closed and reopened
and you will have to log back into the UI.
