The chart above show the access patterns of the data and how they are spread across the
tiers. The chart above shows the Random Access patterns of data. The ideal situation
would be for the most frequently accessed data (red) be present in the high cost tier
(yellow background) and least accessed data (blue) present in the low cost tier (white
background). This is displayed in the chart below.
ILM takes care of migrating data across tiers to reach the most ideal situation.
