If the StorTrends® iTX Storage Appliance cannot obtain an IP Address from your
network, check your network cable. Make sure it is plugged into the back of the chassis.
Also make sure that it is a good cable. Check to make sure that your switch is properly
configured (if it is a manageable switch).
If everything checks out with the network, check to make sure that the StorTrends® iTX
Storage Appliance is set to DHCP.
Logging on from the Console Interface
Go to the Console Interface on your StorTrends® iTX Storage Appliance. You should
see the following screen:
Begin typing the password. The Please Authenticate field does NOT display the
password nor does it display asterisks in place of the password. It appears as if nothing is
happening while you are typing. THIS IS NORMAL.
The default password is password in all lowercase. Press the <ENTER> key after you
enter the password.
