Storage : NAS Share Management

This page allows you to manage the shares for your NAS Volumes. This page can be
accessed from the NAS Volume Management page or by clicking on the share name
under the Shares header in the navigation tree.
Field
Description
Share Name
This field displays the name of the share.
Share Path
This field displays the location of the share.
Remove Sharing
You can disable all sharing of this volume by clicking on this button.
Modify Sharing of this
This section allows you to modify the share access for the different types of clients.
Folder/Volume
Simply place a check next to the clients that you want this folder to be shared for. Click on
Apply

Storage : NAS Share Management : Security Settings

This page allows you to control the permissions for individual users accessing the share.
This page can be accessed from the NAS Share Management page by clicking on its
Security link.
Step
Action

Select the default type of access permission that you want to assign. You can allow
everyone full read/write access, read only access or completely deny access. By default,
the Everyone group has Full Access.

Optionally, there is a list of users and groups that you can set individual permissions for.
Select the users or groups that you want to assign specific permissions for. Add them to
the Permission List box.

From the Permission List box, select the users or groups that you want to set permissions
for. Select the type of permission that you want to set. You can set full read/write access,
read only access or completely deny access. Click the Apply button to make the settings
active.

Storage : NAS Snapshot Management

This page displays NAS Snapshot information and allows you to manage your NAS
Snapshots.
Field
Description
Snapshot Name
This field displays the name of the Snapshot.
Status
Mounted/In Use
Deleting
Unmounted/Not-in-Use
Failed
Capacity
This field displays the capacity of the Snapshot Volume.
Type
This field displays the type of Snapshot being used. The default is Redirect on Write
(ROW) and you can also create a writable ROW snapshot..
Delete
Click on this button if you want to delete this snapshot. You will be prompted to confirm
your action.
Rollback
Click on this button if you want to restore the contents of this snapshot to the volume. This
will require all I/Os to be stopped.
Provision type
Default for snapshots is Exact-Provisioned.
Mount/Unmount
Click on this button to activate/deactivate the snapshot.
Date Time Created
This field displays when the Snapshot Volume was created.

You can set the permissions to all sub directories and files in the share by
placing a check next to "Set permissions to all subdir/files".
The Snapshot Volume is mounted and ready to use.
The Snapshot Volume is being deleted.
The Snapshot Volume is not mounted and is not in use.
The Snapshot Volume has failed.
