    Hardware Features Overview The StorTrends 1312 is a 3U chassis with 12 hot swappable drive bays that can be used as a NAS (Network Attached Storage) or JBOD (Just a Bunch of Disks) solution. The 1312 offers hot swappable redundant and hot swappable power supplies, AMI’s Indium embedded motherboard and custom-designed NAS software.

You must remove this brace before mounting the hard drive. To remove the brace, remove the two screws that hold it in place. Place your hard drive into the hot-swappable SCSI hard drive carrier.

    Always allow the SCSI drives and power supplies to cool AMI StorTrends 1312 User’s Guide There are three hot-swappable power supplies in the StorTrends 1312. Two power supplies can supply power to a fully configured system. To remove a failed power supply, press the lever and pull the power supply straight out.

    Cooling Fan There are two hot-swappable cooling fan units in the StorTrends 1312. They cool the drives by drawing air through the SCSI hard drive carriers. To remove a failed cooling fan unit, unscrew the thumbscrew until it hangs loose. Pull it straight out.
