SATA Drive Carrier LEDs
Each SAS drive carrier has two LEDs:
LED Color
Green
Red
Description
When illuminated, the green LED on the front of the SAS drive carrier indicates
drive activity. A connection to the backplane enables this LED to blink on and
off when that particular drive is being accessed.
The SES2 compliant backplane activates the red LED to indicate a drive failure.
If one of the SAS drives fail, you will be notified by the StorTrends iTX
software. Replace the failed SAS drive(s).
