SERVER MODULES
This section discusses reinstalling the VSSEP1EC Server Modules into the
enclosure.
1. Become familiar with the server module connectors. The connectors

ESD-SENSITIVE DEVICE. Only install the device on a properly grounded electrostatic
discharge (ESD) protection surface to avoid damage to the components. Always utilize
a properly grounded ESD wrist strap or mat during operation or installation of the
device, or when connecting the cables.
WARNING: Install the server module in the correct orientation. Ensure the connector
pins in the storage enclosure are straight and ready to align into the connector holes in
the server module. Never force the module into the enclosure. If a pin or data
connector is damaged, return the system for service. Do NOT attempt to straighten
pins as this can cause further damage to the storage enclosure.
