8. FINAL COMMISSIONING CHECKLIST
Perform the following to verify installation was successful
PASS CRITERIA
Verify display shows SAM Boost™ splash screen while pump is in
□
road mode & transmission in drive gear (use two people for safety)
Manually operate preconnected valves from display – full open and full
□
close (Does not require to be in pump gear)
Manually operate tank-to-pump valve from display - full open and full
□
close (not required to be in pump gear)
□
Place truck into pump gear and verify no warnings appear
Manually increase and decrease engine RPM with the display
□
(If unable to do so, verify governor settings [Password: 00311])
Verify emergency idle functions from the display
□
(press mode button to revert to PSI Mode)
While in PSI Mode, manually increase pump set pressure to 100 PSI
□
(or any value that increases engine RPM.) Verify that master
discharge gauge pressure matches pump set pressure on the display
□
Operate nozzles to open the paired preconnect valves
With two people for safety, validate nozzle calibration is correct. Have
one person hold the nozzle with bail fully open & the other person
□
check the display to see that actual pressure equals rated pressure
with calibrated hose length by pressing the nozzle info button
Validate nozzle signal strength is reading appropriately. This can be
□
checked by pressing the nozzle info button
Validate truck voltage is reading appropriately. This can be checked
□
by pressing the nozzle info button
(If incorrect, adjust on 06565 password page)
Check engine oil pressure & temperature by pressing the nozzle info
□
button
Drain tank while in tank mode to trip low tank warning (audible &
□
visual). Warning should trip at ¼ tank level
(Validate buzzer operation and tank calibration)
Apply hydrant pressure, close tank-to-pump, and validate that nozzle
□
display changes to blue
