When using the 12-pin connection, the configurable input at PIN 3 can be used for the fol-
lowing functions:
– Restart
– Reset
– Restart or reset
– EDM
– Zone set switching
– Muting 1 and 2
– Dynamic activation of the muting state

Wiring of the configurations

The wiring has to match the specifications in PSENscan Configurator.
When an existing configuration is transferred to the safety laser scanner, the configurable
inputs/outputs must be wired in accordance with this configuration.
The configuration of the safety laser scanner PSEN sc L 3.0/5.5 08-12 series is carried out
in PSENscan Configurator on a configuration PC.

Connect supply voltage and safety controller

The supply voltage connection is in the memory module that is protected by a screwed-on
cover. The memory module can be uninstalled for simpler connection.
Note:
The memory module must only be uninstalled when the supply voltage is switched off.
Procedure:
1. Turn the safety laser scanner PSEN sc L 3.0/5.5 08-12 series for better access to the
memory module.
2. Loosen the M3 screws of the protective cover and remove the protective cover.
The screws are secured against loss and they cannot be removed.

If the safety laser scanner is in an error state, a reset is performed,
