Log file

A series of events is stored in a log file.
The file is saved in the memory module and synchronously also in the safety laser scanner.

Events at the safety outputs (violations of the safety zone)

Events at the inputs for muting and override

Error

Updates (firmware, configurations etc.)

Restoring of configurations

Current configuration of zone sets

Exchange of PSEN sc head
The log file is saved in csv format.
An entry is created in the log file for each logged event.
Format of the entries:
<Date> <Time> <Event type <Details on the event>
Example of a mistake:
10-Sep-20 5:24:30 PM;FAULT;FAULT INPUTCF2
Create log file
Procedure:
1. Select Device -> Search device.
The network is searched for connected PSEN sc L 3.0/5.5 08-12 series.
Connected PSEN sc L 3.0/5.5 08-12 series are listed under Network environment.
Select the safety laser scanner for which you want to log the events.
2. Select Device -> Read from device -> Open protocol file in PSENscan memory.
The requirement must be confirmed by entering the password. The safety laser scanner
switches to Out of operation. Click OK to continue.
Select the directory in which the file is to be saved.
3. The safety laser scanner display is dark. A red LED is lit.
4. When creating the log file is finished, a message is output. Click OK to continue.
The safety laser scanner switches to In operation.
5. You can now open the log file.
In Windows explorer, switch to the directory you selected when saving the log file and
open the log file on a text editor.
