CLI Command Comments

The # symbol indicates that the rest of the line is a comment. In the following example, the CLI ignores
#enable_complete_on_space.
Command Example:
> set complete-on-space true #enable_complete_on_space
If # character is to be entered as an argument, it has to be prefixed with a backslash (\) or used inside quotes (").

CLI Messages

CLI messages appear when a user enters or exits configure mode, commits to a configuration, and enters an
invalid command or value.
Example:
> show c
----------------^ syntax error:
Possible commands starting with c:
cli - Display cli information
commit - Display configuration changes
[error]
Example:
> show configuration
------------------^
syntax error: element does not exist
[error]
