Attention: This alarm is reported as it
approaches the point to trigger Automatic
Power Reduction (APR). Although the
alarmed condition is NSA, the required
trouble-clearing actions to clear the alarm
can disrupt traffic.

The blade provisioning mode is incorrect.
This alarm is caused by the blade being set
at the factory defaults or by the user
sending an incorrect shelf provisioning
command.

NEND Pre Block Span Adjustment in Progress:
TYPE = <unit type>
Suggested Corrective Action
No action is required. The condition automatically clears
when the pre-block span adjustment completes.

Suggested Corrective Action
1. Check the transmit output fiber.
2. Clean the connectors.
3. Replace the fiber.
4. Replace the patch cord.
5. Replace the PIU.

Suggested Corrective Action
1. If the blade is set to factory defaults in a new turn-up,
initiate a WARM reset to make this blade the Main
blade.
2. For a tributary blade in a new turn-up, change the
shelf type to TRIB.
