Using spectrophotometer

The optional spectrophotometer can be attached to print and measure the color target. Performing color
calibration or profiling of the printer by using RIP software compatible with the spectrophotometer
enables printing with more accurate colours.
For more information about the option, contact your local Océ representative.
NOTE
Do not install the printer in a place that is subject to strong light (sunlight, etc).
Getting strong light on the color measurement may affect the measurement accuracy.
To use the spectrophotometer, the printer setting must be as follows.
Make sure the setting before use.
Media detection: Top & Width or Width
Output mode: Off or Auto Cut

When the color target is printed on the translucent or colored media, or the media with
patterned indented surfaces, color measurement may not be accurate.
When measuring colours, make sure that the color target is dry. If it is not dry enough, the
ink may adhere to the pressurizing rollers of the printer.
Step 1:
Connect the printer and computer.
Step 2:
Turn the printer ON.
Step 3:
Set the media.
3.4 Loading media
Step 4:
Set the user type setting.
3.4.3 Setting the User Type Setting
When the user type setting and media initial operation are complete, "Ready to Print" is
displayed on the operation panel.
Step 5:
Start RIP software to print and measure the color target.
NOTE
For the setting and operations of the RIP software, refer to its operation manual.
The printer starts printing the color target.
"Printing" is displayed on the operation panel.
