1) For the Respironics CO
module: The cannula is off
or disconnected.
2) For the EDAN CO
module: The water trap is
disconnected or not properly
connected.
CO sensor temperature

exceeds +40 °C.
The CO concentration

exceeds the accuracy range
of CO module.

The EtCO concentration
2
exceeds the measurement
range.
The FiCO concentration
2
exceeds the measurement
range.
CO module failure
2
Water trap of SideStream is
occluded.
Replacement of the adapter
is required.

Action Taken
1) For the
Respironics CO
module: Check
whether the adapter
is properly connected
or replace the
adapter.
2) For the EDAN
CO module:

water trap.
Stop using
measuring function
of CO module,

notify biomedical
engineer.
Reduce CO
concentration.
Please check the
monitor or patient
status and adjust the
gas concentration
accordingly.
Stop measuring
function of CO
module, notify
biomedical engineer.
Make sure the gas
exhaust works well
Replace the adapter.
