12.2.4.18 Mute Button

The Mute button mutes the channel in the same manner as pressing the MUTE but-
ton on the control surface. The Mute button supersedes any mute commands from the
group mute or VCA systems; if it is pressed, the channel remains muted regardless of the
state of any mute groups or VCAs. If the channel is locally muted, and then unmuted, it
remains muted if any of the mute groups or VCAs it is assigned to are active.

12.2.4.19 Solo Button

The Solo button sends the channel's signal to the console's solo system in the same man-
ner as pressing the SOLO button on the control surface. Solo can be PFL or AFL. See also Section 6.2.1.

12.2.4.20 Fader

The fader represents the physical fader in the channel strip. The readout below the knob
on the touchscreen displays the fader value in dB. You can adjust this via Touch and Spin.

12.2.4.21 Pan Control

The Pan control pans the channel's signal across the assigned main buses depending upon
the console's operating mode (L/R+mono or LCR) and channel Mix Assign (see Mix Assign
Buttons next). In LCR mode, the Pan control is a true LCR control IF the L/R and CENTER
Mix Assign buttons are engaged. If only the L/R Mix Assign button is engaged, the Pan
control is configured as a stereo (2-out) control. This is always the case for routing to stereo
linked groups. In LR+CM mode, the Pan control is always a stereo (2-out) control to L-R and
stereo linked groups and the CENTER assign button receives the pre-pan signal. Operating
mode is described in Section 12.10.1.1.

12.2.4.22 Mix Assign Buttons

The L/R Mix Assign button routes the channel's post-pan signal to the L/R mix buses
(determined by the Pan control) and the CENTER Mix Assign button routes the channel's
pre-pan signal to the center mix bus.

12.2.4.23 Dynamics Block

This block encompasses both the Gate/Expander and the Compressor/Limiter. It provides an overview of
the operation of the dynamics signal processing taking place on the channel.
Touch the GATE/EXP IN button to turn on or off the Gate, and touch the Gate Expander switch to toggle
between Gate or Expander modes.
