EAW UMX.96 Owner's Manual
At the top of the screen are two buttons for setting the passwords of the Console and System Processor.
• Change Console Password button: Press this button to change the console password. A screen appears
asking you to enter your old password (the default password is "password"). If accepted, a similar screen
appears asking you to enter your new password. Once entered you must enter it again for confirmation,
and then the new password is set.
• Change System Processor Password button: Press this button to change the system processor password.
A screen appears asking you to enter your old password (the default password is "password"). If accepted,
a similar screen appears asking you to enter your new password. Once entered you must enter it again for
confirmation, and then the new password is set.
• Lock Console Setup: This tab lists different components of the console that can be locked via a checklist.
Checked items will not be able to be changed once the console is locked. The list of lockable items is:
• Mixer Configuration
• Show
• Mic Pres
• Input Channel DSP
• Output Channel DSP
• Routing
• Snapshot Editing (recall only)
• Faders
• Mutes
• Pans
• Lock System Processor Setup: This tab lists different components of the system processor that can be
locked via a checklist. Checked items will not be able to be changed once the system processor is locked.
The list of lockable items is:
• Input Channel DSP A, B, C
• Routing
• X-Over A, B, C
• Output Channel 1-12.
• Lock Console button: Pressing this button locks the console. A screen appears asking you to enter the
password to lock the console. Once entered the console will be locked and all checked functions in the
Lock Console Setup Screen can not be changed.
• Unlock Console button: Pressing this button unlocks the console. A screen appears asking you to enter
the Console Password to unlock the console. Once entered, the console will be unlocked and all functions
can be altered.
• Lock System Processor button: Pressing this button locks the System Processor. A screen appears asking
you to enter the System Processor Password to lock the console. Once entered the console will be locked
and all checked functions in the Lock Console Setup Screen will not be able to be changed.
• Unlock System Processor button: Pressing this button unlocks the console. A screen appears asking you
to enter the password to unlock the console. Once entered, the console will be unlocked and all functions
can be altered.
• Forgotten Password — If you forget the password and need access, call EAW technical support.
