EAW UMX.96 Owner's Manual
Smaart Mode Setting has two radio button options: AUTO which feeds Smaart with the default signals
NYI
described above and CUSTOM which allows selection of different inputs. Below the custom button are two
drop-down lists labeled Measurement and Reference. Touching one will display the Channel Select pop-up
to choose a custom signal from the following list:
• Analog 1-48 Pre DSP, Post DSP
• Expansion 49-96 Pre DSP, Post DSP
• Stereo 1-8 Left and Right Pre DSP, Post DSP
• Internal FX 1-4 Left and Right Pre DSP, Post DSP
• Aux/Group 1-24 Pre DSP, Post DSP
• Main Left Right Center
• Matrix 1-8 Pre DSP, Post DSP
• System Processor In A, B, C
• System Processor Out 1-12
• Computer Output Left and Right
This can be useful for comparing two different microphone inputs or to analyze the response of a DSP pro-
cess within the console.
In addition to the dedicated Smaart Tab, the Parametric channel EQ and RTA31 output EQ display the Smaart
RTA readout superimposed under the EQs. This can also be changed to display the Smaart Spectrograph,
which displays frequency vs time.
The Smaart setup tab also features a setting called "Revert to RTA" which is normally enabled. When enabled,
NYI
changing to any screen featuring the integrated Smaart RTA/Spectrograph (e.g., 4-Band EQ and RTA31
screens) automatically causes Smaart to revert to RTA view from whatever view you left. This allows the data
to continue to flow from Smaart to the UMX software. When disabled, Smaart remains at its current screen
so the previous analysis remains available.
Refer to the Smaart Live manual for a comprehesive description of all the features contained in Smaart.
