Insert Routing Tab

NYI
The Insert Routing Tab allows creation of a hardware I/O pair as a hardware insert that can then be inserted
into any digital insert point onto the console. It consists of a three column list showing all created hardware
inserts with the following heading: Name, Insert Send, and Insert Return.
Use the following buttons for manipulating the list.
• New — Adds a new insert to the list. An onscreen keyboard will appear to name the insert.
• Delete — Deletes the selected insert from the list.
• Rename — Reopens the keyboard allowing renaming the selected insert.
• Up arrow — Moves an insert up the list (so you can organize the list to match the hardware layout in a
rack).
• Down arrow — Moves an insert down the list (so you can organize the list to match the hardware layout
in a rack).
Once an insert has been created, the name appears in the name column and the send and return column
displays the word "unassigned".
Pressing either of these displays the Channel Select pop-up allowing the selection of hardware inputs and
outputs for the insert send and return (following the same lists described above for the input and output
routing tab).
If an input or output is chosen which is already in use, a warning appears: "This input (output) is already in
use. " Choose Yes to reassign the input (output); choose No to leave the current assignment unchanged.
Hardware inserts created in this manner appear in the inserts list for all digital inserts allowing inserting a
hardware processor into any digital insert point (see Section 12.2.9 for details on using inserts).
