SECTION 3
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
ENGINE FAILURE
If an airstart is to be attempted, follow the AIRSTART checklist
procedures. Successful airstarts with starter assist can be achieved at
all airspeeds normally flown and up to an altitude of 14,000 feet.
However, above 14,000 feet, or with the N
temperatures tend to be higher and caution is required.
The FUEL CONDITION lever can be moved
momentarily to CUTOFF and then back to LOW
IDLE
encountered. This reduces the flow of fuel to the
combustion chamber.
If a rise in N
seconds, place FUEL CONDITION lever to CUTOFF
and abort start. Refer to ENGINE FAILURE DURING
FLIGHT and EMERGENCY LANDING WITHOUT
ENGINE POWER.
If the engine starter is inoperative, refer to EMERGENCY LANDING
WITHOUT ENGINE POWER.
