Always closely follow the directions of the disinfectant manufacturer.
Using cleaning fluids, disinfection wipes or cleaning procedures others than those
specified may damage equipment. It is suggested to only use disinfectants verified by
Brainlab (see page 121) to avoid damaging the system.
Using other cleaning fluids may damage touchscreen or housing.
1. Shut down system, turn off mains power and unplug system as described on page 90.
2. With exception of the touchscreen(s) and the yellow panels of the Monitor Cart, clean all
other surfaces using a surface disinfectant.

Follow disinfectant manufacturer's recommendations.
3. Carefully clean interfaces, ensuring that no liquids enter the system.
4. Clean the yellow Monitor Cart panels with an alcohol-free surface disinfectant.
NOTE: Using other disinfectants may damage the yellow panels.
5. Clean touchscreen(s)
1. • With cable-based camera communication: After the Monitor Cart is shut down (see
page 90) disconnect the camera cable.
• With wireless camera communication: After system shut down, remove mains power
from wall outlet.
2. With exception of the camera, clean all other surfaces using a surface disinfectant.
Follow disinfectant manufacturer's recommendations.
NOTE: Take care not to wipe debris from the camera case onto the illuminator filters and
lenses.
3. Carefully clean interfaces, ensuring that no liquids enter the system.

with lint-free wipe using a streak-free surface disinfectant.
