Preparing the System for Use

This chapter explains how to use the RetCam System after it is properly installed at your
site. The activities described include:
RetCam 3 and RetCam Shuttle User Manual
Preparing the RetCam 3 System for Use on page 64
Preparing the RetCam Shuttle System for Use on page 68
NOTE
New systems are installed by Clarity-trained personnel. The installation
includes the attachment and setup of the system components, the initial
configuration of the software, and performance of a functional test. The
instructions in this chapter are for using an installed system, which has the
main power, printer (RetCam 3), and monitor turned ON, the monitor height
adjusted (RetCam 3), and software installed and configured for the site.
It might also be necessary for the RetCam Administrator to grant domain
access for individual users before clinically-trained users can begin patient
imaging.
NOTE
The software is preinstalled on the system and a recovery disk is included
with the system. If the software is reloaded, the database is cleared and all
data is deleted. Clarity recommends backing up the data in MLX format after
each day's use. Reloading the software requires an Authorization Key from
Clarity to reinitiate the system and reconfigure the software.
Never block any RetCam 3 and RetCam Shuttle system vents.
Never block access to the handpiece holster.
