Functions Managed by RetCam Review Software

When the RetCam System is configured for use with RCRS, the following functions are
disabled on the RetCam System:
• Create Domain
• Delete Domain
• Create User
• Modify User
These functions are managed on the RCRS application, and those settings are applied to
the RetCam system via the synchronization process.

Creating Domains

A domain is a collection of patients. Domains can be structured to suit your institution's
preferences. Patients are assigned to domains, and can be in more than one domain.
Similarly, users are granted access to domains, and can be granted access to more than
one domain (see
Activities, such as adding patients and performing exams, occur within the context of the
current domain. The current domain is the domain that you select when you login to the
system. You can change the current domain from within the Patients and Exams screen
by selecting another option from the Domain menu

If the RetCam System was configured for use with RCRS, Clarity strongly
recommends that this setting remain unchanged. Changing between the
Enabled and Not Enabled states increases the likelihood of creating
duplicate patients, users, or other data that can cause confusion. When it is
necessary to physically disconnect the network cable (for instance, when
performing a patient exam), simply unplug the network cable from the
RetCam System. The RetCam System is designed to operate when
configured for Synchronization and disconnected from the network.
To prevent possible system corruption, do not configure the RetCam for use
with more than one server operating RCRS.
