Wiring must follow national regulations and meet all legal requirements.
The B&R device must be installed in a suitable protective housing. For installations in Class I, Division 2 Hazardous
Locations, the housing must be able to withstand one or more Division 2 wiring methods.
Warning!
• Substitution of components may impair suitability for Division 2 or Division 1 hazardous (clas-
sified) locations.
• Do not energize or disconnect the device while the area is known to be hazardous.
• The associated nonincendive field wiring apparatus shall not be connected in parallel unless
permitted by the associated nonincendive apparatus approval.
The B&R device is suitable for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D. It also offers nonincendive field
wiring for devices in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D.
