1.8.2 Boot configuration

BIOS setting
Function
NumLock
Option for configuring the numeric keypad (Num
Lock) when booting the system
Timeout
Option for configuring how long the setup activa-
tion key (key for entering BIOS) and boot logo
are displayed
CSM support
Depending on the operating system, the com-
patibility support module (BIOS compatibility
mode) supports backwards compatibility for
BIOS legacy boot settings.
Quick boot
Option for reducing the boot time by skipping
some POST procedures
Boot logo selection
Option for displaying the boot logo
Diagnostic splash screen
Setting for enabling/disabling the "Diagnostic
splash screen" when booting
Diagnostic summary
Option for enabling/disabling the "Diagnostic
screen
splash screen" when booting
USB legacy support
Option for configuring USB legacy support.
Console redirection
Option for configuring the remote console. The
remote console can be used to access BIOS
Setup via the serial interface using a terminal
emulator (PuTTY or HyperTerminal).
Information:
This function is only possible with the
5ACCIF01.FPLS-000 or 5ACCIF01.F-
PLS-001 IF option.

Option for configuring the serial interface.
