Cleaning the Curve System

Do Not Use
• Acid solvents
• Caustic solvents with pH value higher than 9.5
Always closely follow the directions of the disinfectant manufacturer.
Using cleaning fluids, disinfection wipes or cleaning procedures others than those
specified may damage equipment. It is suggested to only use disinfectants verified by
Brainlab to avoid damaging the system.
Camera Cleaning Intervals
As frequency of cleaning depends on how frequently the camera is used, Brainlab cannot give
general recommendation on cleaning intervals. This is within the user's responsibility.
Regularly inspect illuminator filter and lenses for cleanness, however only clean them when
necessary.
Post-Cleaning
After cleaning, ensure that the telescope post of the Camera Cart is completely dry before
retracting the post.

Shut down system, turn off mains power and unplug system.
With exception of the touchscreens and the yellow panels of the Monitor Cart, clean all
other surfaces ① using a surface disinfectant.
Follow disinfectant manufacturer's recommendations.
Carefully clean interfaces, ensuring that no liquids enter the system.
Clean the yellow Monitor Cart panels with an alcohol-free surface disinfectant.
NOTE: Using other disinfectants may damage the yellow panels.
Clean touchscreens ② with lint-free wipe using a streak-free surface disinfectant.
After the Monitor Cart is shut down disconnect the camera cable.
With exception of the camera, clean all other surfaces using a surface disinfectant.
Follow disinfectant manufacturer's recommendations.
NOTE: Take care not to wipe debris from the camera case onto the illuminator filters and
lenses.
Carefully clean interfaces, ensuring that no liquids enter the system.
